Thinking Christian International School (TCIS) began in 2020 with a single student during the COVID-19 pandemic. The school is based in Seoul, in the Yongsan district, and serves families of nationals and international Christian workers. Enrollment is around 60 students, with about 95 percent representing nationals. TCIS is a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International in Korea and has a cooperative relationship with Black Forest Academy for teacher training and curriculum development.
The TCIS community comprises primarily national families living in Seoul and children of international Christian workers. Enrollment is around 60 students and about 95 percent are nationals. About 30 percent of the parent population is non-Christian, reflecting a broader community reach and engagement. The school emphasizes a faith-centered environment and aims to foster service and global engagement as part of school life.
The TCIS PTA is a voluntary association of parents and faculty who work together to support the educational & co-curricular programs at TCIS. Our goal is to promote community and unity among staff, parents, and students, and to enhance the learning environment through volunteer support. All TCIS parents, faculty and staff are encouraged to join. The PTA organizes service projects & donates funds to improve the school facilities and support student programs. Examples of PTA activities include the Christmas Bazaar, International Festival, and Career Day.
