Pastoral care is the heart of TCIS's holistic approach, supporting students socially, emotionally, and spiritually through daily routines, one-on-one guidance, advisory programs, chapel services, and a network of teachers and boarding staff.
TCIS has a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Office with a Learning Support Coordinator who can develop an Individual Education Program (IEP) in collaboration with parents, the student, teachers, and external professionals; the school serves gifted and talented students, language and communication difficulties, developmental needs, physical and sensory conditions, medical conditions, and emotional/mental health issues.
TCIS is an English-language school; instruction is in English and ESL/ELL support is provided, including a co-teaching model in core subjects and use of the WIDA framework to guide language development.
Mental wellbeing is supported through pastoral care and a school counseling program across all grade levels, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and academic/personal planning.
Safeguarding at TCIS is overseen by a designated Child Protection Advocate and supported by formal policies and confidential reporting channels.
