There are four Houses with a vertical mix of all ages; Houses compete in sporting, academic and artistic activities; students earn House points and senior students help lead and support younger students, promoting leadership and collaboration.
The school is British owned and employs British trained teachers; it is part of the Orbital Education group.
Baleares International College (BIC), Sa Porrassa, is located in the Calvià municipality of Mallorca, approximately 15 kilometers from Palma. The school serves students aged 3 to 18, delivering the English National Curriculum culminating in IGCSE and A Level examinations. The campus features an indoor sports center, a swimming pool, and all-weather football pitches. Students utilize dedicated science laboratories and a drama studio for practical learning. A distinctive feature of the school is its status as an official center for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, providing students with structured outdoor expeditions and community service opportunities. The language program includes Spanish and German from an early age, catering to both foreign language learners and native speakers. The school operates a private bus network with routes covering the southwest and central regions of the island, facilitating access for families living outside the immediate Calvià area.
