Facilities Overview

Three separate play areas include a polished concrete sports area 300m2 with perimeter seating, a creative play area with climbing frames and a large wooden Play House, and a private play area for Foundation with educational play equipment. A large dining room is on site. There is a well-stocked library with over 3,000 books that supports weekly borrowing and rotating class collections. A dedicated learning support room and ICT resources, including interactive whiteboards, a Clever-Touch screen, a TV and computer screens, are available. Calpe School is divided into eight teaching areas (Pre-Nursery Class, Nursery Class, Reception Class, Year One, Year Two, Year Three, Year Four, Year Five & Six) and the Spanish Department, and teaches the British National Curriculum with Spanish language support. The library is updated regularly to foster a love of reading.

Academic Facilities

Calpe School is divided into eight teaching areas: Pre-Nursery Class, Nursery Class, Reception Class, Year One, Year Two, Year Three, Year Four, Year Five & Six and the Spanish Department. The British National Curriculum guides teaching, with appropriate Spanish for each pupil's abilities. A dedicated room provides 1:1 learning support. Extra-Curricular Activities

After School Clubs include Football, Basketball, Cross Country, Ballet, Spanish, Art and a Friday Homework Club. Experienced and qualified instructors teach all of these activities. Clubs start at 4.15pm and finish at 5pm. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Calpe School is a British international school in Marbella (San Pedro), Spain, serving children aged 2 to 11. It is a NABSS member authorised to teach the British education system and follows the British National Curriculum, complemented by elements of the Spanish National Curriculum. Foundation Stage 2-5 years, Primary 5-7 years, and Primary 7-11 years. The curriculum provides a broad, balanced programme that includes Spanish as a Second Language and dedicated Spanish language support, with weekly French from Year 4.
