Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Complete the contact form to start the admissions process. It lets Base get to know you and send personalised information tailored to your family. You will receive essential communications about the program and admissions timelines. This initial step sets the stage for a personalised follow-up.
2. Interview with admissions team. An interview with the admissions team follows. The interview provides an opportunity to discuss your child's needs, understand Base's educational approach, and view the campus. A tour of the school is included to help you experience the environment firsthand, and feedback about fit and next steps is provided after the meeting.
3. Submit the required documents. This formalises your interest and helps secure a place for your child with the support of our team. The admissions staff guide you through the documents needed and ensure everything is in order for review. Once documents are received and reviewed, you will be advised on the next steps.
4. Welcome to Base International School! A Family Coordinator guides you through onboarding and supports you throughout the school year. The onboarding includes introductions and scheduling and ongoing assistance to help your family settle into school life and engage with the community.
Base International School in La Moraleja, Alcobendas, is a private international school for ages 1 to 18. It is part of Affinitas Education, a network of bilingual schools. The school offers IB (MYP and DP) as well as American and British curricula, plus a bespoke option. Preschool to High School pathways are provided through either the Spanish Bachillerato or the IB Diploma Programme. From Year 10, students follow an Academic and Career Guidance Plan to identify interests, choose Bachillerato, and plan university pathways. Each stage has its own campus building and outdoor area; facilities include small-class classrooms, a theatre, art rooms, a radio studio, an on-site dining hall, and sports facilities with courts and a swimming pool. Extracurriculars include robotics and programming in English. The school promotes multilingualism, with English as a core medium and French or German as additional languages. Stays Abroad and leadership programs support learning in a supportive community.
