Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Colegio Internacional de Granada began its journey in 2010, continuing the pedagogical project that had been developed for 33 years at Panda Infant School. Families joined to create a Granada educational center distinct in quality, where children could develop both intellectual potential and human qualities. The bilingual school was founded to achieve educational excellence and, through it, foster holistic formation for students at every stage. Today the school remains committed to this project, offering a quality education that prepares students for their future.

Community

The school runs a broad range of cross-disciplinary projects across Environmental, Sports, Scientific, Innovation, International, Social, Theatre, and Musical areas. Environmental education is global and interdisciplinary, aiming to foster environmentally responsible behaviors and the sustainable use of natural resources. The school fosters family involvement through the Escuela Padres program, which offers workshops, talks, conferences, and collaborative projects to participate in the educational process. The international program includes eTwinning projects and exchanges with partner centers, and features foreign teachers of pedagogy and intercultural education from the University of Oulu in Finland.

Parent-Teacher Association

The school runs a Parents' School program to involve families in their children's education. The program offers activities such as workshops, talks, conferences, and collaborative projects. These activities enable parents to participate effectively in the educational process. Summer Camp is offered as part of the school's family-oriented services. News items show school events and cultural activities that involve families and students.

Colégio Internacional de Granada is a plurilingual school in Spain that educates students from 0 to 18. It teaches in Spanish, English and German, with native and bilingual teachers supporting language learning from early childhood. The school provides linguistic and cultural immersion with instruction delivered 100% in English, complemented by structured language programs supported by Cambridge University and Goethe‑Institut partnerships. The curriculum combines the American High School Diploma through a Dual Diploma program, enabling students from the second year of ESO to enroll simultaneously in a U.S. high school while pursuing both diplomas. An emphasis on technology brings robotics, programming and ICT into the early years, with an on‑site platform and digital tools, iPad projects, mBot, Lego and 3D printers. International projects and exchanges—eTwinning, Erasmus+, and partnerships with schools in Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom—enhance global learning. Panda kindergarten shares framework with the campus for early years.
