Lunch is served from 12:30 to 15:00, and Bistro offerings run Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:00 and Friday 8:00–15:30. A delicom meal account is used to order lunch online and pay cashless in the Bistro, with funds loaded by parents in advance. Secondary students have two daily lunch menus with pre-orders due by 10:00 on the day; primary students' meals are ordered automatically, and allergen information is provided for all products.
The DSM Madrid is organized as a DSM School Community with a School Association (Schulverein) and a Foundation (Fundación), and maintains an Alumni network and sponsors.
Deutsche Schule Madrid is a German school and a bilingual German–Spanish institution in Madrid. It serves students from ages 3 to 18 and follows the German curriculum, with an orientation year in class 5 and tracks leading to Gymnasium or Haupt-/Realschule based on ability. The Abitur is completed after class 12 and is recognized for university study in Germany and Spain. German is the profile-defining subject, and instruction aligns with the standards of German Gymnasien, including native-level reading, writing, speaking and literary competencies. For German as a Foreign Language learners, extra language support is offered in the E-Zweig with integration into native-language classes by grade 9 and additional weekly hours. The campus at Montecarmelo features libraries, dedicated rooms for music, art and the sciences, an auditorium, a canteen, and a modern sports hall and football field. The school emphasizes multilingual competence, mathematics and science, and opportunities in music and arts.
