Seiteneinstieg is available for students without German knowledge, targeted at fourth graders to learn German in the afternoon via the Cursillo de ingreso, with the option to enroll in the fifth grade. The Rama E pathway supports children without German knowledge, and Integrationsphase Spanisch IPS provides Spanish language integration.
Deutsche Schule Madrid is a German school and a bilingual German–Spanish institution in Madrid. It serves students from ages 3 to 18 and follows the German curriculum, with an orientation year in class 5 and tracks leading to Gymnasium or Haupt-/Realschule based on ability. The Abitur is completed after class 12 and is recognized for university study in Germany and Spain. German is the profile-defining subject, and instruction aligns with the standards of German Gymnasien, including native-level reading, writing, speaking and literary competencies. For German as a Foreign Language learners, extra language support is offered in the E-Zweig with integration into native-language classes by grade 9 and additional weekly hours. The campus at Montecarmelo features libraries, dedicated rooms for music, art and the sciences, an auditorium, a canteen, and a modern sports hall and football field.
