The Beratungs- und Inklusionsteam (OeI) is a multidisciplinary team established to promote the holistic development of students and to contribute to ongoing educational quality improvements. The team focuses on the individual support of students, families, and teachers and promotes inclusive approaches to diversity. It conducts psycho-pedagogical diagnostics to identify specific needs and provides counseling for teachers in multicultural contexts. It develops measures for family counseling, prevention, and early recognition of learning difficulties, and coordinates with external services to create an inclusive and safe environment. In cases of bullying, it applies a No Blame Approach and emphasizes confidentiality, voluntary participation, and the use of personal resources to build resilience.
DS Málaga has an Inclusion and Counseling Team (OeI) dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs. The team identifies needs through psycho-pedagogical diagnostics and develops targeted interventions and supports. It coordinates with families and external services to provide inclusive, individualized support and to maximize each student's potential. The team emphasizes collaboration among students, families, and staff to ensure a safe and accessible learning environment.
The school provides four languages at a high level. From kindergarten through primary, students communicate in German and Spanish; English is taught from grade 5 and French from grade 9 in the upper school. German students arriving without prior Spanish language knowledge receive individualized support to integrate into regular classes.
The OeI includes a school psychologist and social pedagogues who provide counseling in personal, scholastic, or emotional matters. It runs group workshops to develop social skills, resilience, and emotional regulation. The team undertakes preventive measures to promote well-being and prevent difficulties and coordinates with families and external professionals for targeted support. It leads safety and health initiatives and mediates conflicts to maintain a positive school climate.
Safeguarding is a central focus of the OeI. The team coordinates prevention and early detection of difficulties and works with external services to ensure a safe, inclusive environment. It uses a variety of tools, including mediation programs for resolving conflicts and the No Blame Approach in bullying cases; confidentiality and voluntary participation are central to its work.
We admit students of all nationalities, provided they meet the linguistic and academic prerequisites for the respective grade level. Access: Kindergarten from 3 years old (no language prerequisites); Primary school: Grades 1–4; Secondary I & II: Grades 5–12 (German International Abitur; Haupt- and Realschulabschluss also possible).
