Academic Facilities

The language of instruction is German. From the first grade, Spanish is taught at native level, English is taught as a foreign language, and Catalan is taught for up to two hours per week. From fifth to seventh grade, Ciencias sociales (Biology, Geography, History) is added in Spanish, and from seventh grade gymnasium students study French. Teaching is conducted across grade levels according to the guidelines and curricula of recognized German Auslandsschulen in Spain and Portugal. Differentiation is planned by the teacher; learners work in common learning phases and small groups, with project work, workshop phases, and opportunities for independent, self-paced learning.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The program features a broad range of extracurricular activities including field trips, cultural events, and sports-related activities. Examples include the upper-school hiking day, a walking tour through Palma, and the inclusive Handisport Mallorca Open golf tournament. Other activities include self-defense courses, project weeks, a cooking course for Class 9, and excursions such as trips to an orange plantation. Festivals and celebrations such as Nikolausfeiern, Sankt Martinsfest, and Day of German Unity are part of school life. World Café sessions and Stadtrundgang through Palma are also featured.

Eurocampus Deutsche Schule Palma de Mallorca is a private German international school serving ages 3 to 18. The language of instruction is German, and the school follows the guidelines and curricula of recognized German Auslandsschulen on the Iberian Peninsula. From first grade, Spanish is taught at native level and English is taught as a foreign language; Catalan is taught for up to two hours per week. From fifth to seventh grade, Spanish includes Ciencias Sociales (biology, geography, history); from seventh grade, French is offered to Gymnasium students. The curriculum differentiates instruction, allowing advanced students to work on material from the next grade while others may repeat as needed. Upon completing final exams, students earn Hauptschulabschluss (grade 9), Realschulabschluss (grade 10), eligibility for the gymnasiale Oberstufe (grade 10), and Abitur (grade 12). The Mallorca campus is authorized by KMK to conduct Abitur on site. The school also offers diverse extracurricular opportunities.
