Movement, play and sport are linked to social relationships, emotions, learning processes and values. They contribute to the cognitive, social, moral and emotional development of pupils. Children who participate in the choir learn to sing, and choir participation fosters self-confidence and a sense of community.
English is taught as a foreign language from the first grade. Spanish is introduced as the second language in parallel to German as a mother tongue, with five hours of Spanish per week. Catalan is taught as a third language with up to two hours per week.
Moving has a positive influence on physical and mental well-being. Movement, play and sport provide holistic experiences and support emotional development through physical education.
Eurocampus Deutsche Schule Palma de Mallorca is a private German international school serving ages 3 to 18. The language of instruction is German, and the school follows the guidelines and curricula of recognized German Auslandsschulen on the Iberian Peninsula. From first grade, Spanish is taught at native level and English is taught as a foreign language; Catalan is taught for up to two hours per week. From fifth to seventh grade, Spanish includes Ciencias Sociales (biology, geography, history); from seventh grade, French is offered to Gymnasium students. The curriculum differentiates instruction, allowing advanced students to work on material from the next grade while others may repeat as needed. Upon completing final exams, students earn Hauptschulabschluss (grade 9), Realschulabschluss (grade 10), eligibility for the gymnasiale Oberstufe (grade 10), and Abitur (grade 12). The Mallorca campus is authorized by KMK to conduct Abitur on site. The school also offers diverse extracurricular opportunities.
