ECA offers a challenging, college-preparatory curriculum in an American-based system. Students study Bible each year and a Christian worldview is integrated into every subject. The program emphasizes intellectual virtues and prepares students for life and higher education. Graduates are Christ-centered, biblically based, academically excellent, and service-driven.
A music program offers elementary music, middle-school choir or band, high-school choir, music theory, and musical theatre. Private music lessons are available for an additional fee, and students perform at school recitals. The elementary, middle, and high-school choirs give Christmas and spring concerts for families and the community.
ELL (English Language Learners) supports non-native English speakers; Korean, Spanish, and German are spoken among students in ELL. English is taught as a language and is supported through in-class activities to help students succeed in other courses. The school offers field trips and multi-country trips, including language trips to France, and leadership training in Budapest. There are leadership opportunities such as the National Honors Society and Student Council.
After-school clubs change quarterly and cover a wide range of activities. Examples include juggling, drama, volleyball, soccer, basketball, line dancing, strategy board games, debate club, and youth group. Past clubs have included LEGO, chess, yearbook, SLC, and small-group Bible studies. Music activities and performances provide ongoing creative outlets alongside academics.
One of ECA's four core values is being service-driven, reflecting Christ by serving and loving others. High-school students invest twenty hours of community service each year. In 2016, Service Days were restructured as Flipped Service Days, finishing the day two hours early to participate in service projects of the students' choosing.
Leadership opportunities include the National Honors Society, Student Council, and the Student Athlete Leadership team. A weekend leadership training is offered in the spring, with leadership opportunities that extend to both school life and international experiences.
Weekly chapels provide worship and a biblical worldview is integrated into the curriculum. Discipleship groups meet weekly, and the school runs secondary and elementary camps as part of its spiritual-life offerings. Missions week in February reinforces spiritual formation and service.
