Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Socio-emotional development is integral to Granada International Montessori School. Mixed-age classes support social learning, collaboration, and peer learning. Students are autonomous, flexible, adventurous, collaborative, caring, and self-disciplined. Mindfulness, assemblies, and peace education are part of school life. The environment fosters respect, empathy, and self-control.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The educational program addresses the intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the child. Educators are fully trained Montessori teachers and assistants.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The main curriculum is in English language, and Spanish language and culture are also taught.

Mental Wellbeing

Children learn in a secure and motivated environment with clear guidelines; there is a peaceful atmosphere, mutual respect, and an absence of fear, shame or guilt. Mindfulness, assemblies, and peace education support socio-emotional well-being.

Granada International Montessori School in Granada, Spain, serves children aged 3 to 12 with a Montessori curriculum. The program is divided into Children's House (ages 3–6) and Elementary (ages 6–12), where learning unfolds through hands-on materials, mixed-age groups, and student-driven pacing. The school uses English as the main instructional language, while Spanish language and culture are taught to support bilingual communication. Classrooms are designed with height-appropriate furniture and materials within easy reach to nurture independence, concentration, and responsibility. The outdoor space features a natural playground with vegetable plots, music installations, and wooden play structures that support physical and social development.
