Food Options

ISLA Academy offers cafeteria-style, healthy lunches; the menu is largely vegetarian, with fish and chicken served occasionally, and meals use locally grown produce where possible, including produce from the ISLA garden. Lunch is included in tuition at the Cabarete campus, while Las Terrenas families may purchase meals from an outside provider. A nutritious morning snack is provided for Preschool and Phase 1, and a waste-free lunch is encouraged with students bringing reusable water bottles.

Sean Bennett serves as Director and Co-founder, leading the school. Franco Rodriguez is Founding Curriculum Coordinator, and campuses are supported by Amanda Bucci (Cabarete Campus Coordinator) and Laura Bencosme (Las Terrenas Campus Coordinator). Nykia Blue is Director of Finance.

ISLA Academy in Manacor, Mallorca, opened in September 2024 to deliver British education with a distinct focus on sport and outdoor learning. The school follows a British curriculum framework, preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE and A-level examinations, with Cambridge IGCSE and Edexcel IGCSE options. Instruction is in English and Spanish, with daily language support in both languages. The program blends core subjects with project-based learning and frequent outdoor experiences, using the natural environment—forests, beaches, and campus spaces—for field trips, science investigations, and physical education. Each pupil receives an Individual Learning Plan to tailor progression for all abilities and diverse backgrounds, supported by a remedial teacher and an educational psychologist. Facilities emphasize movement and wellbeing: most days include outdoor lessons, sport, and field activities. A collaboration with Mallorca Art School enriches visual arts, while a range of on-site clubs and Discovery Days extend learning beyond the classroom. This approach supports learners.
