History

John Talabot is a charter school founded in 1976 for children aged 3-16. It is located in the Sant Gervasi neighborhood at the foot of the National Park of Collserola. The faculty includes native English and Catalan teachers to ensure competence in English, Catalan and Spanish. The program features real immersions into English, with English, Spanish and Catalan equally utilized in learning.

Community

The school is family-based with one class per year, providing a safe and caring environment that supports each student's self-esteem and rights and obligations. The teaching staff includes people from diverse backgrounds, including many from the Anglo-Saxon world, enriching the educational community. Visitors can arrange personal tours, and families stay engaged through newsletters; the school also hosts Open Doors events such as Open Doors 2026.

Parent-Teacher Association

The AFA is the voluntary association of families that actively participate in different projects that accompany the school's educational work. Its main objectives are to facilitate communication between families and the school; promote new initiatives for families, the school, and the surrounding area; attend meetings and assist in matters concerning education and the rights and duties of children; carry out activities that reinforce the school's educational aims in collaboration with management and teachers; promote and develop training activities and workshops to encourage family participation. The PTA publishes annual reports Memoria Anual AFA JT 21-22 and Memoria Anual AFA JT 23-24, and invites involvement by emailing afajohntalabot@gmail.com.
