Languages taught: French, Spanish and English from age 2; Valencian is offered in secondary; German and Latin are available as optional languages. Official language certifications are available: DELF/DALF (French), Cambridge English, DELE (Spanish), Goethe-Institut certificates, and Valencian certification. The language programme is CECRL-aligned and culminates in a Baccalauréat certificate.
Plurilingual from age 2. The school teaches French, English and Spanish, with native or bilingual teachers for each language. Students learn other subjects in different languages from the early years of preschool.
An EMILE approach is used to teach some subjects in foreign languages from the start. In primary, 4 hours per week are spent on Spanish language and social sciences in Spanish, with other courses taught in that language. In secondary, 3–4 hours per week are taught in English under immersion, with the option of a European Section offering extra English. The programme aims to reach C1 in French, Spanish and English by the end of lycée, and English certification (B2–C1) is available through the curriculum.
LFIA Pierre Deschamps is a French international school in Alicante, part of Mission Laïque Française and AEFE. It serves ages 2–18, from Très Petite Section to Terminale. The curriculum follows the French system with SEN support and a bespoke approach. Multilingualism is central: students learn French, English, and Spanish from age two, with native or bilingual teachers for each language, aiming for level C1 in all three. The community is multicultural, with 70% Spanish students and others from France, the United Kingdom, Algeria, Russia, and the United States. Education ministries of France and Spain back the program, enabling access to higher education in Spain, France, and beyond. Villa Marcos campus by the beach spans 20 hectares and houses science laboratories, CDI, library, and media center. Sports facilities include a semi-Olympic indoor pool, a sports center, basketball courts, an athletics track, and football pitches. Extracurriculars include Mundosport and Solid'Artes across sports and arts.
