Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Peer mediation is available to resolve conflicts and promote a positive school climate. An anti-harassment and cyberharassment intervention project exists, with a protocol for handling harassment situations. Sex education is provided as part of safeguarding and well-being initiatives. The school's values include solidarity, mutual respect, laïcité (secularism), citizenship, and dialogue between cultures. The Plan Vivre ensemble outlines a caring, inclusive environment that supports students' social-emotional development.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school provides inclusive education and welcomes non-French-speaking students with targeted support. Non-French speakers are welcomed on arrival and undergo a sociolinguistic assessment and a French-language assessment, after which parents, teachers, and the school sign a commitment to the learning plan. The French as a Foreign Language (FLE) program is offered to learners arriving with limited French, with typical provision of 3–5 hours per week and an adapted timetable to aid integration into the regular curriculum. In elementary and secondary, learners receive FLE support alongside regular classes, supported by native-speaking and trained teachers. The program aims to integrate newly arrived students into ordinary classes as quickly as possible.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

From kindergarten, instruction is delivered in French, English, and Spanish. English is taught 3 sessions per week from PS to CE1 and 4 sessions per week from CE2 to CM2, with additional sessions possible for anglophone groups. The curriculum is harmonized across French, English, Spanish, and Catalan, with native-speaking and trained teachers. German is optional from 4ème, and Catalan is taught from CP with English-language hours continuing at various levels. The school also offers language certifications (IGCSE, IELTS) and a Dual Diploma option (American High School Diploma) for eligible students, with IGCSE English Language and English Literature prepared by the end of 2nde.

Mental Wellbeing

The Plan Vivre ensemble emphasizes values that support student well-being, including solidarity, mutual respect, laïcité, citizenship, and intercultural dialogue. A peer mediation program supports wellbeing and social-emotional development. There are harassment prevention and intervention efforts, including a program against harassment and cyberharassment and a protocol for addressing such situations. Sex education and safeguarding measures contribute to a safe, respectful school culture.

Safeguarding

Harassment prevention and response protocols are in place, including a dedicated harassment protocol. Anti-harassment and cyberharassment interventions are part of safeguarding, with sex education as a component of student welfare. The school fosters a safe environment through these policies and practices.
