Eco-cantine: The cantine is part of the Ecocomedores Canarias network. Meals are ecological (certified ecological production, environmentally minded), local (supporting certified organic production from the Canary Islands), fresh (garden-to-table with island/regional distribution based on a quality protocol), and seasonal (menus adapted to seasonal produce). The cantine provides special diets, including lactose-free and gluten-free options; cross-contamination controls are implemented, utensils and storage are kept separate for these diets, and lactose- or gluten-containing dishes are indicated on the menu. Special diet notices must be given to the school in the morning (between 8:00 and 10:00) to prepare appropriate menus.
The school is part of the Mission Laïque Française network. The Mission Laïque Française is an association founded in Paris in 1902 and recognized as being of public utility since 1907; it creates and manages schools, directly or by convention, recognized by the French Ministry of Education. The network comprises 22 French educational establishments in Spain and is coordinated with the Embassy of France in Spain; it aims to ensure continuity of education for expatriate families and offers multilingual, intercultural education.
On the edge of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Lycée Français International de Tenerife Jules Verne offers education for ages 3 to 18 within Mission Laïque Française. The school follows the French curriculum and provides a trilingual programme in French, English and Spanish, with English introduced early so students graduate multilingual for international study. It is an authorized Cambridge exam centre and DELF/DALF centre, and pupils graduate with Brevet or Baccalauréat from the French system, and with Graduado en ESO or Bachillerato from the Spanish system. The Bachibac double diploma enables university access in France, Spain and beyond. The campus is near university and arts environment, with IT integrated across the curriculum: every classroom has a computer, primary pupils use tablets, and secondary students use laptops. The mediathèque opened in 2019 and supports resources in French, Spanish and English. Well-being, individual support and arts, robotics and language programmes complete the offer.
