MIT School Málaga places emotional education at the core of its approach. The school develops key emotional competencies such as self-knowledge, empathy, balance, teamwork, conflict resolution, enthusiasm, and autonomy. Emotional awareness is fostered to improve relationships with oneself and others and to support well-being across the school community. MIT School Málaga includes mandatory modules that promote emotional balance through Yoga, Tai Chi, Mindfulness, and Aikido. The curriculum integrates emotional, social, and creative skills across subjects through literature, music, and the arts.
Education at MIT School Málaga is individualized, with smaller class sizes and coordinated support from Tutors, Heads of Studies, and the Guidance Department. The school detects specific educational needs through the psychopedagogical team and provides in-school tutoring, psychopedagogical counseling for parents, and reinforcement activities for students, as needed. There are projects for talent development that include assessment and support for students, whether or not they are formally identified as gifted.
Language instruction is a top priority, with 90% of the curriculum taught in English in all classes except Spanish. Mandarin Chinese is included from age 3, and German is introduced from the 3rd year of Primary. Russian and French are offered as extracurricular activities. The school uses native or highly proficient language teachers and has specialists in foreign languages to support language learning. Cambridge examination pathways are used: KET in Primary, PET in early Secondary, FCE in older Secondary, and IELTS in Bachillerato.

The institution prohibits verbal, physical, or material aggression and maintains a disciplinary system with steps from verbal warnings to more serious consequences to reflect and correct behavior. MIT School Málaga is a private bilingual school authorized by the Junta de Andalucía to teach in Spanish and English. About 90% of the curriculum is taught in English, with Spanish integrated throughout. From age 3, Mandarin Chinese is introduced; German begins in the first year of Primary; French and Russian are extracurriculars. The school offers Educación Infantil, Primaria, Secundaria, and Bachillerato, including Bachillerato Internacional – Doble titulacion. The Bachillerato is bilingual across its three modalities—Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales, Ciencias y Tecnología, Artes—and includes university guidance. The campus features sustainability measures such as a domotic building and solar energy, and facilities including a library, dining hall, robotics and science laboratories, an art room, a language-support space, and music and dance rooms. Sports facilities include a dojo, basketball court, football pitch, paddle courts, golf, and equestrian stables near a lake in Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía. Extracurriculars include Robotics Lab, Equestrian, Aikido, Music and Dance Conservatories, Chinese Culture School, and German programs. Cambridge English and HanBan Chinese examinations are offered.
