Introduction

Montessori Palau Girona is a private, non-state school serving ages 0–18, structured around the Montessori approach from early years through secondary education. Infant education emphasizes neuro-sensory-psychomotor development and social experience, with development materials and a multilingual foundation in four languages. Primary education follows an interdisciplinary Cosmic Education model with a long school day to support exploration, and languages taught include Catalan, Spanish, English and German. Secondary education broadens linguistic study to six languages—Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German and Latin—with extended hours for English, mathematics, languages and sciences, and opportunities for service and production occupations and internships. The Linguistic Project integrates languages throughout stages, introducing French in secondary and Cambridge and DELF qualifications. AMI accreditation underpins the Montessori method, complemented by neuroscience research and the school's Innovation and Training Section. The campus spans five buildings on 150,000 square metres, with forested areas, laboratories, and diverse sports and cultural facilities, fostering talent through external competitions such as Physics Olympiads and MMUN.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- The annual tuition is calculated for the full school year and split into ten equal instalments (10 quotes); instalments are billed according to the school's billing cycle. Instalments remain unchanged in the case of temporary shifts to remote teaching; specific services (half‑board, transport, nursery cover) may be adjusted if those services are not provided.
- The enrolment (matrícula) becomes effective when the enrolment fee has been paid; the enrolment fee is expressly non‑refundable. Payment of the enrolment fee may be made at the interview or afterwards by bank transfer; the school asks families to supply the bank account number when formalising enrolment.

Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered; the school lists day services (for example: school meals, transport service, library) and does not operate a residential/boarding programme. As a result, there are no boarding fees.

Other costs and fees
- Items explicitly excluded from the standard tuition instalment include: the single non‑refundable enrolment fee and annual enrolment renewal fee; an annual material fee (from Educación Infantil 2 onwards); sports kit and school over‑garments (bates); annual book fees when books are purchased through the school (from ESO1); school transport; some external language exam fees (from ESO1); optional morning/afternoon daycare beyond the included cycles; and certain specialised psychopedagogical or therapeutic services.
- The school charges separate fees for extra‑curricular activities and seasonal programmes. Examples published in the school's activity price documents include: music practice and Club activity fees (for example, initiation and elementary vocal/music classes billed per trimester: e.g., initiation ~ EUR 243 per trimester), and summer/activity camps with daily and weekly rates for different age groups. Transport or activity‑specific supplements (for example a per‑day transport or summer trip supplement) are published separately for those programmes.
- The parent association (AMPA) membership fee is charged automatically upon enrolment and is published as EUR 17 per family per year.

Refund information
- The one‑time enrolment fee (matrícula) is non‑refundable. Instalments already collected are not normally returned; for certain extra‑curricular registrations the school's published conditions note that withdrawal becomes effective at the next instalment and that a paid instalment cannot be refunded. Specific refund or cancellation rules for individual activities (summer courses, extra‑curricular classes, language groups) are published with those activity registrations.

Fee payment options
- The school accepts payment by bank transfer for the enrolment fee and records request a bank account number when formalising enrolment; payment at reception at the time of the interview is also presented as an option for the enrolment fee. The school's administrative office manages the billing of instalments and additional service charges. No public, itemised list of credit‑card acceptance or other specific electronic payment platforms is published in the school's fee documents.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The Psychology and Counselling Service is designed to support the psycho-pedagogical work at all educational stages by providing guidelines, knowledge and vision to the programmes and methodologies. It also provides care, support and resources for all students, from those who are most able to those who require support in their academic performance and/or emotional well-being. As a support to the teaching team, the psychologist for the stage makes specific and integrated interventions in daily activity for any student who needs it, either on the initiative of the tutor or through the student themselves. If the student requires deeper involvement, they will be recommended to contact the Psychology and Counselling Service for an individual evaluation and, where appropriate, a work plan will be devised. The service also offers family counselling in those cases where it is required. Source: Montessori Palau Girona — Psychology and Counselling Service

In addition, in some subjects English is used as the working language and students are prepared for the official Cambridge and DELF qualifications. There are six languages taught from Infant Education to the last year of Secondary schooling. Languages are used from a practical perspective and in an environment where students must use the language in their everyday life. The School has an International Projects team who are responsible for promoting various initiatives such as the German or Finnish student exchange, the European Youth Parliament (EYP), or Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN), among others.
