Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Palma College was established in 2012 and opened in 2013 to meet the needs of Mallorca's international community seeking a dedicated sixth form provision. The founders aimed to provide a platform that offers academic and life skills, serving as a stepping stone from school life to Higher Education and beyond. The ethos is to bridge the gap between school and university and adult life by guiding students along academic or vocational pathways to a secure future, with a focus on transferable skills. The language of teaching is English, with small classes, a wide range of Edexcel A Level subjects, and a full enrichment and next‑step programme.

Community

Palma College is situated in the heart of Palma with easy access from cars, buses and trains, close to galleries, exhibitions and theatres, and about 20 minutes from the airport. The main building is in an old palacio on Can Veri, near Es Born, and the second location is close to the cathedral and Parliament in Estudi General; there are two art studios, a drama studio and classrooms for all subjects. There is a real supportive community feel to the College, with staff helping students study, learn and mature.
