Language Provision

English is the language of instruction for the majority of courses. Spanish language and culture and Catalan language and literature are part of the curriculum. English as an Additional Language is available for learners needing language support. The Primary curriculum combines the English National Curriculum with Spanish and Catalan studies, while the Secondary curriculum follows the American-based AERO standards with required language studies in Spanish and Catalan.

Bilingual Teaching

RNIS delivers all classes in English, taught by experienced native teachers. The Primary program follows the English National Curriculum, with specialist teachers for Spanish, Catalan, social studies, swimming and P.E. The Secondary program is based on the American-based AERO standards, with English as the language of instruction in most courses. English as an Additional Language is offered to support English learners.

Immersion Programs

All courses are taught in English. Spanish and Catalan are taught as language subjects, with specialist teachers for Spanish and Catalan. The curriculum includes Spanish language and culture and Balearic culture as part of the program. English as an Additional Language is available to support learners who need language support.

Rafa Nadal International School in Manacor, Mallorca, sits on the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar campus and serves ages 2 to 18 on a single site. The school is authorized by the Balearic Government and the Spanish Ministry of Education and is affiliated with the United Kingdom (British Council) and the United States (MSA and AERO). The Early Years Foundation Stage, British Primary Curriculum and American programs structure a bilingual, multinational learning community. Primary students follow the English National Curriculum with Spanish and Catalan taught to support multilingual fluency. Middle School follows an American program for grades 7 and 8, while High School adopts an American-based AERO framework with a 22-credit graduation requirement. The campus emphasizes sport, arts and wellbeing, with 45 tennis courts, 16 paddle courts, indoor/outdoor pools, a Technogym center and on-site dining. The school is a recognized SAT testing center and offers facilities and residences on site.
