Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

The school delivers a British Curriculum in English, aligning with British educational standards. All classes are taught by qualified teachers who have English as their first language and whose instruction is conducted solely in English. The school is regularly inspected by Ofsted to ensure standards are met. The curriculum includes a Spanish language component and targeted reading and phonics support, with after-school activities offered in English for both native and non-native speakers.

Arts and Creative

The curriculum emphasises the arts as part of a well-rounded education. After-school clubs include Creative Arts and Music & Dance, and Ballet is taught by a member of the International Dance Teachers' Association. These clubs provide opportunities for artistic exploration through visual arts, drama, rhythm, and performance.

Cultural and Language

Spanish language, culture, maths and science are taught as stand-alone subjects following the Junta de Andalucía curriculum, with Spanish classes delivered by qualified Spanish nationals. Mandarin Chinese is offered through after-school clubs, reflecting a commitment to bilingual and intercultural learning.

Social and Hobbies

Saint George's runs an extensive after-school programme of optional activities that run for one hour at the end of the school day. Activities include Robotics, Move It! (dance), Ballet, Chinese, Homework Club, Music and Dance, Creative Arts, Extra Spanish, Bible Stories, Environmental Studies, Spanish Stories, and Games Club, with some clubs free and others available at an additional cost.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The school provides a home-from-home environment with outdoor playgrounds, one classroom per age group, and an enclosed outdoor swimming pool (June and September). A vegetable garden, on-site dining room and kitchen with a healthy menu using locally sourced products, and staff-to-child ratios exceeding requirements support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of students.
