The school was founded in 1988 with the aim of creating in Girona an innovative school offering immersion in English. The founder of the school, Mr. Francisco Sayol, started this project with around twenty pupils, and it grew year by year until 2001, when the first graduating class completed their Baccalaureate studies. Saint George's School has grown to 700 pupils and a staff of more than 80 professionals. The school began with one building. It currently has three buildings and multiple sports facilities.
