The school immerses children from the beginning in English and provides a multicultural and multilingual education to young learners from 4 months. Enhanced Provision (COOL Time – Choose Our Learning Time) supports language acquisition and inquiry-based learning.
The British School of Costa Daurada offers a British National Curriculum from Early Years to A-Levels, delivered in a bilingual setting with English as the vehicular language and a strong focus on additional languages. The curriculum blends the English National Curriculum with Spanish and Catalan studies, with approximately 80% of the 35-period week taught in English and 20% in German, Catalan, and Spanish. Students follow a cross-curricular approach, with some subjects taught through topics and others as discrete subjects, and the school prepares pupils for GCSEs and A-Levels. The campus spans three buildings designed to harmonise with the natural surroundings, featuring interactive classrooms, STEAM Room, Library Hub, and a Science Lab. Outdoor spaces support PE and learning, including an Olive Tree Playground and amphitheatre. The school emphasizes service, community and family partnerships, evidenced by the BSCD Charity Committee. Extra-curriculars include music, drama, robotics, sports, and community projects throughout the year.
