The Learn Academy began as a tutoring centre in Barcelona and expanded into a full-time pre-university college—the only one of its kind in Barcelona. Founded by Hannah Grech, it offers a centrally located campus and a dedicated team to serve students aged 16–19. It started with 9 full-time students and is nearing full capacity, with around 60 students enrolled for the upcoming academic year. It is an accredited Pearson Edexcel testing centre offering the British International A-Level curriculum, and all instruction is in English.
The Learn Academy provides a broad range of extracurricular activities to complement and enrich classroom learning. It offers Model United Nations, Duke of Edinburgh, and bespoke activities such as art classes and personal training. Weekly activities span cooking, arts, sports, and community service, and there are excursions throughout the year related to students' studies. Feedback from parents and graduates highlights a warm, welcoming environment and dedicated teachers.
Located in central Barcelona, The Learn Academy is a private international high school offering the British International A-Level curriculum under Pearson Edexcel. Catering to students aged 16–19, it operates as a Sixth Form College with English as the language of instruction. The school is a Pearson Edexcel testing centre and delivers a two-year A-Level program with exams in May/June and occasional resits. Subjects include Mathematics, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, Business, Economics, English Language and Literature, History, Psychology, Art and Design (Photography; Fine Art; Graphic Communication), EPQ, and Form Time: Personal, Social and Health Education. The on-site facilities include study rooms, with iPads near the entrance for sign-out and study around nearby cafes or outdoor spaces within a designated radius. The school day runs 8:50am to 4:15pm, with five class periods of 1 hour 25 minutes and compulsory on-site sessions from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
