OSC offers a broad range of after-school activities that extend learning beyond the classroom. AMC Math Club, Linguistic Adventures, and other ASA options provide opportunities to practice problem solving, language analysis and critical thinking. COMUN leadership and SAISA preparation extend learning beyond the classroom through leadership development and regional competitions. Most activities take place after school, with some during lunch, and many are year-long commitments.
OSC offers a broad arts program spanning performing and visual arts. There are after-school ensembles and groups such as Percussion Ensemble, Senior Vocal Group, Broadway Singers, Guitar Ensemble, Primary Art Studio and Secondary Art Club. DP students lead service projects and collaborate with local charities, and have organized activities such as medical clinics and recycling programs.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award program is offered at OSC to recognize student participation in extracurricular activities. Some DOE segments are addressed within other ASAs, and the Adventurous Journey includes weekend trips. COMUN provides leadership opportunities for OSC students, and students also gain leadership and professional experience through publications like the Student Newspaper, the Advocate Literary Magazine and Yearbook.
