Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Step 1: Confirm eligibility. The school accepts a child who belongs to one of these categories: living in Sweden for a short period; having studied abroad for a longer period and continuing education in Sweden; or there is a good reason to assume the child will leave Sweden for a longer period. The child uses English as the daily language of communication with one or both guardians and has sufficient English to follow the teaching. Swedish School Law Chapter 24 Paragraph 3 governs admission.
Step 2: Rolling admission. The school has a rolling admission year and accepts applications throughout the academic year. The admissions policy considers all eligible children. Families are welcome to apply regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender or religion. Applications for 2025-2026 are ongoing and applications for 2026-2027 are being accepted.
Step 3: New applications for continuation to BISM. If the child attends Bladins Preschool and you want them to continue to Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM), you must submit a new application. This applies even if older siblings already attend BISM. Siblings of children at the preschool may be prioritized for admission to BISM, provided the family meets the necessary entrance requirements.
Step 4: Application steps and open cycles. Applications are ongoing for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. A digital tour is offered for prospective families. An online application is available to begin the process.
Step 5: Preschool admissions details. Preschool admissions are based on a waiting list. Sibling priority is applied, but only if the siblings are registered at the same residential address. A child can be admitted to preschool after they have turned one year old.
Step 6: Admissions office contact. Rebecca Andersson serves as Admissions Officer. Postal address Box 20093, 200 74 Malmö; Visiting address Stadiongatan 25 E, Malmö.
