The health and wellbeing of students is central at Bladins International School of Malmö. A dedicated health and wellbeing team, including an Inclusive Education Coordinator, School Nurse, School Counselor, Guidance Counselor, and School Psychologist, works with Programme Coordinators, Principals and the Head of School to support students' educational, social and emotional needs. Families are invited to contact these staff with questions about their child's educational, social, emotional or health needs. Bladins fosters independence, curiosity and talents and emphasizes the development of students' intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, physical and moral potential. The school provides a holistic, open-minded, multicultural and caring atmosphere.
An Inclusive Education Coordinator, supported by Inclusive Education Teachers, provides tailored support within BISM. The Inclusive Education team collaborates with the School Counselor and School Psychologist to address educational and social-emotional needs.
English is the language of instruction. Applicants should have sufficient knowledge of English to follow the teaching and learning, with English serving as the daily language of communication with one or both guardians.
Mental wellbeing is supported by a dedicated health and wellbeing team, including a School Counselor and a School Psychologist, who work with the Inclusive Education Coordinator and other welfare staff to address emotional and health needs. The team collaborates with students and families to support emotional health and wellbeing.
Safeguarding is embedded in the student welfare framework. A clear contact pathway is provided for concerns about a child's safety, wellbeing or health needs.
Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM) is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 6 to 11 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11 to 16. It is located in Malmö at Stadiongatan 25 E and is part of the Bladins School Foundation, 150-year history. Founded in 1987 to serve international families, BISM welcomes students from 50 countries and maintains inclusive, multilingual community. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, global awareness and language development, and integrates STEAM through hands-on, project-based learning. Since September 2023, meals are provided in Europaporten's lunch restaurant with nut-free facilities and dietary accommodations including allergy certificates and vegetarian options. Extracurriculars include Drama Club, Lego Robotics Club and Film Club for MYP students, plus School Band and Choir. Additional offerings include Homework Club, Book Bowl with Iris Book Award, Outdoor Education and the Nordic Network. The Student Council supports leadership and community involvement.
