Europaskolan is an International Baccalaureate World School in Sweden delivering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) alongside the Swedish national curriculum. The school serves learners aged 5 to 16 and offers bilingual instruction in Swedish and English, with weekly mother tongue support to sustain internationalism. IB learning is embedded across two campuses: the Main Building at Gotlandsgatan 43 in Södermalm, and Eknäs Gård, a 15-hectare rural site 35 kilometres south of Stockholm, where students undertake practical, hands-on inquiry as part of the IB approach. Small class sizes (up to 24 students) emphasise inquiry, reflection and action. The school's off-campus Physical Education and Outdoor Life program highlights experiential learning through camping, hiking and visits to rock-climbing gyms and frozen lakes. Europaskolan supports progression to Swedish gymnasium, the IB Diploma Programme, or other high school options worldwide, grounded in global citizenship and lifelong learning together for students.

The school uses a separate queue system that allows applications at any time during the year. After submitting the application you receive a queue reference number, but you cannot see your position in the queue. If you do not have a Swedish national ID you can use TF01 (for a boy) or TF02 (for a girl) instead of the last four digits in the personal number. Our youngest students start IBEY (IB Early Years) in August the calendar year they turn five, while PYP 1 is the first compulsory year under the Swedish National Curriculum. The Middle Years Programme starts with MYP 1, year 6 in the Swedish school system. Most vacancies are available from August and the admission process starts in February/March the previous term. Placements are offered according to queue regulations that consider siblings, proximity to the school and queue time. Once you have applied to our queue you will continue to stay there for future admissions and will move along with the queue for next year level. No new application is necessary. Europaskolan is a fee free school.
The school welcomes waitlist applications for all classes.
