Introduction

Could you provide more factual details about the International High School of the Gothenburg Region? With only the fact that it is a municipal high school, I don't have enough information to craft an accurate 150‑word description or to select evidenced strengths and clubs. If you share details such as the language of instruction, whether the school offers an IB or other international programs, notable facilities, and concrete examples of clubs or activities, I can write a precise description and select the top strengths and clubs from verifiable sources.

The International High School is a small municipal school in the heart of Gothenburg.

Stages

Fees
Application fees

- There is no application or annual tuition charge to apply for or attend The International High School of the Gothenburg Region for eligible students; upper‑secondary schooling is publicly funded and provided without a tuition/application fee.

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)

- There are no per‑term or per‑year tuition fees for Years 1–3 (upper‑secondary / gymnasium). Education at the school is offered as a municipal programme and is not invoiced as regular tuition.

Exam / programme-specific fees

- IB (International Baccalaureate) final‑examination fee: SEK 7,500 (charged for students taking the IB final examinations).
- IB retake fee: SEK 1,200 per subject for any subject re‑sit.
- Fee for an Enquiry Upon Results (grade appeal): SEK 1,200 per request (unless IB changes the grade).

Billing schedule and payment terms (exam fees & related deadlines)

- The IB examination fee is invoiced in advance; payment deadlines and registration rules apply as follows: notification if not re‑sitting must be given by October 15; registration will be automatically withdrawn if payment is not received by November 30; if the student has not paid by January 1 they will be withdrawn from the exams; and if the student withdraws from the exams after January 15 the examination fee will not be refunded. (These dates form part of the school's published admissions and progression policy.)

Boarding fees

Other costs and charges

- Replacement school travel card administrative fee: SEK 200 (charged if a student has not received a card in time, or needs a replacement).
- Optional, activity‑specific charges (examples that may be invoiced separately): voluntary international or study trips, certain external excursions, subject‑specific course materials or special equipment, or other optional programmes. Any such optional activities are invoiced individually when applicable; the school issues invoices for optional items. (No standard compulsory charges are listed for tuition.)

Refund information (where applicable)

- IB examination fee refund rule: if a student withdraws from the IB exams after January 15 the examination fee will not be refunded. Registration can be withdrawn for non‑payment according to the stated deadlines. Retake and appeal fees are charged as stated; refundability of optional‑activity fees or purchased items depends on the terms for that specific activity and invoice.

Fee payment options and invoicing

- Exam and other chargeable items are invoiced by the school/education administration with specified payment deadlines; the invoice will state the accepted payment method and payment details.
