English is the language of instruction for the IB curriculum at ISH from Early Years through the Diploma Programme. The Swedish language is taught as a language; if a student is proficient in Swedish, they may be taught according to Sweden's language curriculum and receive grades in line with MYP1–MYP4. ISH does not teach Sweden's national curriculum or use the Swedish grading system for PYP and MYP.
