Application fees
- There is no application fee for admission to the International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR); families do not pay an application charge.
Tuition fees by year group (detailed per term / per year)
- For families eligible for municipal/public provision, tuition is not charged for all year groups (Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme). In other words: SEK 0 per term and SEK 0 per school year for children enrolled under the school's public funding arrangements.
- Exception: members of diplomatic missions who are not citizens of EU/EEA states or Switzerland are required to pay a tuition charge for students in Grade 10 through DP2 (the school charges tuition for those specific cases). The municipality handles the billing arrangements for these diplomatic cases.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Where fees apply (for example for after‑school care, extracurricular activities or diplomatic tuition), invoices are issued and must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice. Municipal parental/activity fees are commonly billed on a termly or monthly basis depending on the service; Stockholm's municipal practice for similar after‑school activities shows examples of a fixed term charge (for fritids/fritidsklubb) paid per term.
- For diplomatic tuition cases, billing is arranged through the municipality and may be invoiced directly to the family or to the diplomatic mission as agreed between the school/municipality and the embassy.
Boarding fees (if applicable)
- The International School of the Stockholm Region is a municipally run day school; there is no boarding provision and therefore no boarding fees.
Other costs and recurring fees
- After‑school care (fritids / fritidsklubb): a parental fee can apply for participation in after‑school club programmes; Stockholm municipality examples show modest termly fees for similar services.
- Extracurricular activities and optional clubs: small participation fees may apply for certain optional activities, trips or specialised programmes.
- School lunches and routine classroom supplies: these are provided through the municipal school arrangements and are not charged as separate tuition fees for students covered by the public provision.
- Uniforms: there is no compulsory school uniform requirement listed for this municipal international school; no uniform fee is charged as a standard school requirement.
Refund information (if applicable)
- There is no tuition to refund for students covered by municipal funding (tuition = SEK 0). For fees that are paid (after‑school care, activity fees or diplomatic tuition), refunds or credits (for withdrawal or non‑attendance) follow municipal invoicing and refund rules and the payment terms on the invoice. Parents should follow the invoice terms and municipal guidance for refund procedures where a fee has been charged.
Fee payment options
- Municipal and school‑related fees in Stockholm are normally collected via invoice systems that accept bank transfers (bankgiro/plusgiro), e‑invoice and other common Swedish payment channels; many municipal and school-related payers in Sweden also use Swish or electronic invoice options where available. Payment specifics for any charged service (after‑school care, extracurricular activity or diplomatic tuition) are given on the invoice and follow municipal payment channels.
Summary (clear, factual points)
- Application fee: none.
- Tuition for most families / all year groups: none (SEK 0 per term, SEK 0 per year under municipal funding).
- Diplomatic exception: non‑EU/EEA/Swiss members of diplomatic missions pay tuition for Grade 10–DP2; the municipality handles billing.
