The school has around 800 students representing about 60 nationalities and about 195 staff, with a 7:1 students to faculty ratio. IB Diploma results are strong, with a 97% Diploma pass rate and results above the world average.

Arts and Creative

The Visual Arts, Drama, Music and Media programmes at SIS provide pathways to self-expression, collaboration and unleashing creativity. The Visual Arts programme covers studying artists, artworks and techniques, portfolio development and student exhibitions. Drama develops creative, reflective and collaborative skills through practical work and performance. Music offers ensembles, choirs and instrumental and vocal tuition, with after-school activities and a Saturday morning theatre school.

Cultural and Language

English is the language of communication at SIS; language diversity is welcomed with students from over 60 nationalities, and English language support is provided across all levels. Model United Nations and Roots and Shoots are among CAS activities that promote global awareness. Stockholm is a multicultural city and learning experiences include language and cultural exchanges, such as French café experiences.
