Stockholm International School operates across two central Stockholm campuses: Johannesgatan 18 and Norra Latin. Norra Latin is a refurbished neo‑Renaissance building that complements the Johannesgatan campus and will host whole‑school activities. The two buildings together increase indoor space from just under 8,000 square metres to almost 14,000 square metres and provide more than 12,000 square metres of outdoor space for recreation and events. Norra Latin will include a 500 square metre Learning Commons and additional catering and sporting facilities, supporting a city‑centre urban campus approach. The city‑centre campus integrates Stockholm's urban environment with daily learning, expanding space for classrooms, labs and student activities.
The SIS Sports Association offers a wide range of sports at school, including Badminton (6–12), Basketball (1–12), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (6–12), Cheerleading (6–12), Flag Football (6–12), Football (Soccer) (1–12), Fitness Gym (6–12), Gymnastics (1–5), Padel (6–12), Swimming & Rescue (6–12), Table Tennis (6–12), Tennis (6–12) and Volleyball (1–12). The program emphasizes inclusion, competition and enjoyment and supports an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle. The football program is run by coaches from Djurgården Academy and practices take place twice weekly at Östermalm IP. SIS participates in NNST and NSL and founded the Stockholm International League to coordinate international and local competition. The school also works with external local clubs and organisations to broaden sports and extracurricular offerings.
Stockholm is used as a classroom, with geography fieldwork and urban studies conducted in metro routes, parks and city spaces as part of the learning program. The Learning Commons, including a Makerspace and a TechBar, supports collaborative and project‑based work across the school. The Learning Commons team provides resources to support student inquiry and creativity. Norra Latin's urban campus expansion adds classroom space and a dedicated Learning Commons area to support student research and learning. The city‑centre campus and modern teaching spaces support IB teaching across Primary, Middle and Upper School.
Arts, Music, Drama and Film offer pathways to self‑expression and collaboration across Visual Arts, Drama, Music and Media. Music provides choirs, ensembles and individual tuition, and features After School Music Activities including Orff Ensemble, String Group, Junior Ukulele and Recorder clubs, plus a PTA choir for staff and opportunities to perform at school events. The program also includes a Saturday morning theatre school and a broad range of public performances throughout the year. Athletics and sport offer a wide array of activities (Badminton, Basketball, Jiu Jitsu, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Soccer, Fitness, Gymnastics, Padel, Swimming & Rescue, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball) with sign‑ups and schedules, local club partnerships (e.g., football with Djurgården Academy), and participation in NNST, NSL and SIL competitions.
