Sven Eriksonsgymnasiet is Borås' municipal upper secondary school offering five university-preparatory programs plus the Child and Leisure Program. The school runs specialized tracks, including Teknik – Spets and Entreprenörsprogrammet, and provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme taught in English. An additional fourth year within Teknik (T4) extends studies for technology-focused students. Students may combine their program with sport through National Sports Education (NIU) or Local Sports Education (LIU). Shadow-a-class and introductory programs support newcomers and those meeting entry requirements. The school traces its history to Tekniska Elementarskolan (1856) and has carried the Sven Eriksonsgymnasiet name since 1997. A central feature is the Entrepreneurship Programme, built on scientific thinking, collaboration with the University of Borås, and leadership development. Internationalization is embedded through the IBDP in English. Governance and leadership opportunities include class councils, program councils, and a School Council, plus student associations and Teknis events. The school regularly hosts international visitors.
