The Bell One World Nursery & Primary School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework from Nursery to Primary Reception and progresses to Key Stage 1 (Year 1–2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 3–4). The Bell Way provides six guiding principles that shape each child's learning and are applied in line with individual needs. The school serves nursery ages 2–4 and primary ages 4–9, creating a continuous learning pathway. The curriculum develops confident, curious and capable learners with a natural fluency in English.
Music, songs and rhymes are part of daily learning and arts and crafts are integrated into lessons. Creative expression through music, movement and art is encouraged in both nursery and primary activities. Learning is child-led and often theme-based, providing cross-curricular opportunities for creativity.
English is the language of instruction with the aim of developing learners' fluency in English. French is taught as part of the curriculum, including in Reception where activities include French. A bilingual Nursery option (Nursery 1 and Nursery 2) is available to support early bilingual development.
Learning is built through theme-based, child-led activities inside and outside the classroom. A typical programme includes reading, writing, music, IT, science, French, arts and crafts, physical activity, visits and excursions. Small class sizes and individualized teaching help pupils express themselves and progress at their own pace.
Small class sizes enable individualized teaching and close attention to each student. Nursery has a teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8 (1:6 for bilingual nursery), with dedicated teachers and teaching assistants. In Reception and Primary, the teacher-to-child ratio is 1:12 with a maximum class size of 12, and teachers are highly motivated and caring. The Bell Way underpins teaching across the school.
The school provides a safe, supportive environment with outstanding student care, including trained staff and safeguarding measures. Bell Colombettes is located in Geneva's international district with easy access by public transport, and facilities include indoor spaces and outdoor areas for daily learning and exploration.
