Collège Champittet was established in 1903 by French Dominican priests as a Catholic boarding school for boys. In 1951, leadership passed to the Canons of Grand-Saint-Bernard. The school became co-educational in 1984, and in 1998 secular entrepreneurs modernised its leadership. The French Baccalaureate was added to the Swiss Maturité in 1999, and the Nyon Campus opened in 2004, increasing the student body. In 2006, a fully bilingual, flexible curriculum was introduced, and in 2009 the college joined Nord Anglia Education, launching the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school pioneered education technology in 2012, launched the Forest School programme in 2020, and in 2023 the community celebrated 120 years of learning.
