Montessori Aquilae is a bilingual Montessori school for children aged 3 to 12. It operates in a mixed-age, Montessori environment with a focus on prepared, high-quality surroundings that support autonomy. The school is located close to the city center in Geneva, on the ground floor in arcades with glass walls that let in abundant natural light, and it has spaces around the building for outdoor learning and play. Each classroom is equipped with Montessori materials and the environment is designed to provide both freedom and structure. The school offers full-day care to cover the entire day.
The 3–6 year class is led by two educators (one francophone and one anglophone) plus an assistant. The 6–12 year class is led by two educators (one francophone and one anglophone) and includes subject teachers for German and physical education. The school provides total immersion in French and English: all subjects are taught in both languages, except for the initial reading and mathematics. Every classroom is a prepared Montessori environment and is fully equipped with Montessori materials.
The paraschool program runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a daily flat-rate fee of 15 CHF (snack included). Children can play or do crafts, and, weather permitting, enjoy outdoor space. A variety of activities is offered, including gardening and board games. A weekly piano course is available for children starting at age 4.
