Hull's School was founded in 1945 by Dr James Hull. In 1992, Dr Hull handed over the school to his son, Robin Hull. In the 1990s Hull's School expanded to become a major independent school in German-speaking Switzerland, and in 1997 it purchased a central Zurich building near Stadelhofen station, with three more nearby buildings added later near the Zurich Opera House. Hull's School follows the British curriculum (IGCSE, A levels) and now has over 300 students from Swiss and international families. Hull's School now has four dedicated subject-specific buildings: Falkenstrasse 28a (Humanities and Languages), Seehofstrasse 3 (Biology and Chemistry), Seehofstrasse 6 (Art & Design, Economics, Mathematics and Physics).
School trips form an integral part of Hull's School culture, with a variety of trips and excursions throughout the year and an end-of-year trip. The events program includes TonhalleLATE, Hiking Day, Skating Day, Winter Sports Day, Technorama, Drama Club and Awards Ceremony, Sports Day, a London trip, and the School Ball.
Hull's School is a private day school in Zurich for students aged 14 to 18, offering the Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels. The curriculum is designed for use in a global context where English is the lingua franca, while enabling students to master German and a third language to an advanced level. The school provides a broadly based education that helps students discover their strengths and develop teamwork, self-confidence and perseverance, with strong pastoral and academic support. The campus comprises three buildings, F Building (Falkenstrasse 28a), S Building (Seehofstrasse 3) and H Building (Seehofstrasse 6). These houses contain specialised facilities such as science labs, IT suites, an art room and the Aldous Huxley Centre Zurich on the fourth floor of H Building. The on-site examination program and on-site administration of IGCSE and A-Level exams by Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International Examinations underpin the school's international profile. The school also hosts around 20 clubs, including Debate and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
