Lucerne International School opened in August 2021 with 8 students. It has grown to around 50 students across grades 10 to 12. It was founded by Kamran Baig and John Häggström. The school follows the British curriculum and is accredited by Pearson Edexcel, AQA, and OxfordAQA, with students working toward International GCSEs and A Levels.
Lucerne International School hosts a variety of community and outreach events each year. Students and families participate in Expat Expo Zurich 2025 and attend university fairs in Basel, such as the SRT University Fair. Seasonal activities include Halloween Week and a Christmas Decorations Workshop. Student Council elections are part of school life.
Lucerne International School is a small international high school in Root, Lucerne, housed in the D4 Business Village.
