Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Fill in the Contact Form. Through our online form, you can send a pre-enrolment request or book a guided tour of the school. This will allow you to get to know the educational environment, the teaching team and the pedagogical approach that characterises My School Ticino. Filling in the form does not imply any formal or financial obligation.

2. Interview with the Director. After receiving your application, the School Office will contact you to arrange a meeting with the Director. During this interview, you will be able to discuss the training offer in more detail and ask any questions you may have. If you have any useful documentation or certifications, please email them in advance.

3. School and Family: Our First Dialogue. For the My Child 3-6 and My Kid 6-10 paths, we organise a get-to-know-you meeting in the presence of the child. This will be an opportunity to explore the spaces, meet some of the teachers and experience the school environment first-hand.

4. Admissions formalization. If, at the end of the meetings, you decide to proceed, the School Office will assist you in formalising your registration. The procedure will end with the payment of the first invoice issued.

My School Ticino is a bilingual Italian/English Montessori-inspired school for ages 0 to 10, with campuses in Castel San Pietro and Lugano. The curriculum combines the Montessori method, the Reggio Emilia approach with the 100 languages of the child, and Outdoor Education to create a hands-on, student-centered learning environment. From day one, children learn in Italian and English in a bilingual immersion that makes language learning natural in daily life. The My Kid 6-10 Primary program features language laboratories (English from the first year and French from Year 3) and a STEM classroom for science, technology, robotics and coding, aligned with the Canton Ticino Study Plan to blend public-school objectives with personalized, experiential learning. The school operates year-round, offers extended-day care, an in-house kitchen with Fourchette Verte menus, and a daily shuttle service. Distinctive elements include Creative Atelier and Closlieu-inspired arts spaces, outdoor woodland learning, and My Languages language programs.
