Outdoor Education is a core part of learning. The campus is sunny and green, bordered by a stream and forest, with My Woods providing a dedicated outdoor learning area and al fresco dining spaces. Outdoor Education projects run for nursery, pre-school and primary students, as well as after-school users, linking learning to local realities such as rural life, seasonal changes, fauna and flora. The Extraschool service provides pre- and after-school care and offers courses and workshops open to everyone, including those not enrolled at the school.
My School Ticino is a bilingual Italian/English Montessori-inspired school for ages 0 to 10, with campuses in Castel San Pietro and Lugano. The curriculum combines the Montessori method, the Reggio Emilia approach with the 100 languages of the child, and Outdoor Education to create a hands-on, student-centered learning environment. From day one, children learn in Italian and English in a bilingual immersion that makes language learning natural in daily life. The My Kid 6-10 Primary program features language laboratories (English from the first year and French from Year 3) and a STEM classroom for science, technology, robotics and coding, aligned with the Canton Ticino Study Plan to blend public-school objectives with personalized, experiential learning. The school operates year-round, offers extended-day care, an in-house kitchen with Fourchette Verte menus, and a daily shuttle service. Distinctive elements include Creative Atelier and Closlieu-inspired arts spaces, outdoor woodland learning, and My Languages language programs.
