The program offers Ontario Grade 12 courses in the final year of high school or a gap year to earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Canadian students who study outside Ontario and students from outside Canada have their credits counted toward the Ontario Diploma. Courses serve as prerequisites for Canadian, US and international university admission. Guidance and university application support are provided with one-on-one consultations and group meetings led by the Director of University Guidance.
Students gain an authentic cultural and French language experience by living with Swiss, French-speaking hosts. The school is located in the French-speaking city of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. The program includes extensive travel experiences integrated with the curriculum, including region-spanning orientation and other trips that broaden cultural exposure.
The school offers extracurricular activities organized by NJC and involving local and international schools; teams may compete in local and SGIS tournaments. Leadership opportunities include the Foyer Council, which organizes student activities, and Model UN, where a select group attends a semester-long simulation with local and international schools.
The Dr. Daniel Andreae Scholarship for Community Engagement is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates both academic and personal excellence and a strong commitment to volunteering and community service. For the 2026–27 academic year, the scholarship provides CAD 30,000 toward tuition for a full-year enrolment. The scholarship is merit-based and not needs-based. Applicants must have completed at least three years of high school, be a Canadian citizen, and show three or more years of community involvement.
The Foyer Council is a group of student leaders that organizes activities. Model UN is a select group chosen annually to attend a simulation of the United Nations with local and international schools around the world.
Students live with Swiss hosts as part of NJC's pension program, supported by a Pension Coordinator who maintains connection with students and families. NJC offers a travel program with curriculum-based, faculty-guided trips, including both mandatory and optional travel. An Orientation Trip introduces students to different regions of Switzerland, helping them bond as a cohort. The school also runs trips such as the Zermatt Ski Week and options to visit destinations like Florence.
Neuchâtel Junior College (NJC) offers a Canadian curriculum-based international high school program in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
