Founded in 2016, United Montessori Children began its educational journey with the opening of its first class in Grand-Lancy, Geneva. Inspired by the principles of Maria Montessori, the school aims to offer an enriching educational environment tailored to each child's needs. It expanded to a second location in Petit-Lancy in 2020 to meet growing demand in Geneva. In 2024, it launched a Montessori community for children aged 18 months to 3 years, expanding to even younger learners. Montessori pedagogy centers on unique children with prepared learning environments, authentic Montessori materials, and educators certified to support children with kindness and expertise.
The school fosters a vibrant multicultural community where families from diverse nationalities enrich the school culture. Parents are viewed as the primary educational partners of the child, and a close link between school and family is valued. United Montessori Children School is a bilingual Montessori program in Geneva, Switzerland, serving children from ages 1 to 6. The school operates on two campuses, Grand-Lancy and Petit-Lancy, with a 3–6 program hosted in a prepared Montessori environment using authentic materials to support autonomous learning, foundational cognitive and social development, and practical life skills. In Grand-Lancy, 3–6 classes are capped at 25 children. The school follows a full-day schedule split into morning sessions from 8:10 to 13:00 and afternoon sessions from 13:00 to 16:00. The program is bilingual with French and English, including weekly English classes from age 3 and a multilingual environment that reflects Geneva's multicultural community.
