Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Founded in 2016, United Montessori Children began its educational journey with the opening of its first class in Grand-Lancy, Geneva. Inspired by the principles of Maria Montessori, the school aims to offer an enriching educational environment tailored to each child's needs. It expanded to a second location in Petit-Lancy in 2020 to meet growing demand in Geneva. In 2024, it launched a Montessori community for children aged 18 months to 3 years, expanding to even younger learners. Montessori pedagogy centers on unique children with prepared learning environments, authentic Montessori materials, and educators certified to support children with kindness and expertise.

Community

The school fosters a vibrant multicultural community where families from diverse nationalities enrich the school culture. Parents are viewed as the primary educational partners of the child, and a close link between school and family is valued. The school offers spaces for listening, dialogue, and sharing so that families can participate actively in their child's development and feel fully involved in their journey. The environment is designed for well-being and a sense of belonging within the community.
