The school offers a standards-based Grade 6 through 12 American curriculum. Core courses follow the California Standards and the Common Core Standards. Advanced Placement courses are available and taught to College Board standards, with AP offerings including English Language Arts, History, Fine & Performing Arts, Mathematics, and Science; SAT preparation courses are provided to support college admissions. AAIA is a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited educational institution.
The school hosts student music and arts events, including the Thanksgiving Music Gala and the 10th Anniversary Christmas Gala, with student stage performances. A charity concert, Time and Light: A Chapter in Music, is part of the annual arts calendar. The cocurricular program supports creative expression through performances and events.
World Language is part of AAIA's core curriculum. The school is an American-based international school and provides language support for students new to international schooling. Global awareness is integrated into learning through library resources and related activities.
AAIA offers cocurricular clubs and special interest programs. Club Time runs after lunch for middle and high school students, with permission from a club advisor. The library supports reading and club activities as part of student life.

The school does not require uniforms and uses a dress code with available PE uniforms. There are 20 school bus routes serving Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan. The library houses more than 2,000 titles and each student's ID card also serves as a library card. Small class sizes foster individualized attention and targeted student support.
Asia American International Academy (AAIA) is located in Linkou District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The campus is near the Taoyuan Airport MRT line (A8 Chang-Gung Station and A9 Linkou Station) and is close to Mitsui Outlet Park Linkou and Shine Square. The school offers an American-based curriculum for grades 6–12 and is accredited by WASC.
