Physical Education is offered to all students through grade 9, and there are multiple seasons for high school and middle school competitive sports, complemented by club sports for younger students.

KAS offers more than 50 after-school clubs, activities, and sports. The Visual Arts program provides art studios and a ceramic kiln area, with student work showcased in the lobby and at exhibitions. Performing arts opportunities, including music and theatre, supplement classroom learning. The campus hosts Summer Dragon Camp and supports activities through partnerships with Global Online Academy and Google for Education. Service Learning & Internships and student clubs provide opportunities for hands-on experiences beyond the classroom.
Kaohsiung American School (KAS) is a private PreK–12 international school founded in 1989 in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It delivers American standards-based curricula alongside the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme, with English as the language of instruction and Chinese taught as a national language option.
