Lycée International Français de Taipei

The curriculum is trilingual, teaching French, English, and Mandarin. From CP onward, students choose either the French-English Pathway or the French-Mandarin Pathway with specific weekly language hours for LV1 and LV2 in each pathway. The French-English Pathway provides English LV1 hours (5 hours per week in Cycle 2, 6 hours in Cycle 3) and Mandarin LV2 hours (2 hours per week), along with subject instruction in English and preparation for Cambridge, TOEFL, and IELTS. The French-Mandarin Pathway provides Mandarin LV1 hours (5 hours per week in Cycle 2, 6 hours in Cycle 3) and English LV2 hours (2 hours per week), with immersion activities and preparation for Mandarin certifications.

The school provides a true trilingual education in French, Chinese, and English. From CP onward, two language tracks are offered: the French-English Pathway and the French-Mandarin Pathway. The program features instruction by native or bilingual teachers, with some subjects taught in English and preparation for international certifications (Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS) within the French-English Pathway. The school is AEFE-accredited.

Immersion experiences are embedded through the two pathways, with defined weekly hours in English or Mandarin and instruction by native or bilingual teachers. The French-English Pathway includes in-depth English lessons and projects linked to English-speaking contexts, with some subjects taught in English. The Mandarin Pathway emphasizes Mandarin immersion through progressive instruction and cultural activities with native speakers.
