Morrison Academy Taipei offers an American-based, college-preparatory curriculum with a biblically integrated approach to learning. Bible class is required for all students, and instruction is in English. Advanced Placement credits are available for select courses. The school year comprises 180 instructional days, and teachers are certified in their disciplines; the school is accredited by ACSI and WASC.
Visual arts instruction is offered at every grade level, with opportunities to explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. The arts program includes media and publishing activities such as video production, photography, web design, journalism, and yearbook production. The music program emphasizes worship, aesthetic appreciation, and cross-cultural understanding. Visual and performing arts aim to develop creativity, communication, and spiritual expression.
The school serves an international student body with instruction in English. Approximately 60% of students are United States citizens, with the remainder from many other countries. The program emphasizes cross-cultural respect and global-minded learning, supported by experiential trips and outreach activities.
Student life includes arts and athletics as core components of a well-rounded program. The athletics program includes middle school and high school sports, with emphasis on healthy living and teamwork within a Christ-centered framework. Students engage in media-related projects and publish content through journalism and yearbook activities. The arts and athletics provide opportunities for social development and collaboration.
Christian Service Learning engages middle school students in service to the local community during six scheduled half-days each year, guided by Biblical principles and personal reflection. The Compass Program expands service opportunities through community outreach and field experiences, connecting students with culture and service.
The MAT Compass Program provides multi-day experiences outside the campus, including Grade 6 WOW trip, Grade 7 Culture Trips, Grade 8 Leadership Camp, Grade 9 Bio Trip, Grade 10 Mountain Trip, Grade 11 Mission & Service Trip, and Grade 12 Externship or Senior Leader Experience. During these experiences, students learn about culture, history, and God's creation. Students also participate in leadership-focused activities and externships that build professional skills.
The physical education program emphasizes healthy living and balanced development across mental, physical, spiritual, and social dimensions. Biblical values are woven through PE, and participation in school sports at the middle and high school levels is encouraged. The program uses a variety of traditional and non-traditional activities to promote overall wellbeing.
Morrison Academy Taipei is an international Christian school located in Linkou District, New Taipei City. The Taipei Linkou campus opened in January 2020 at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility built to accommodate a full K–12 program, with separate learning pods for elementary, middle, and high school, plus spaces for performing arts, a library, indoor and covered outdoor basketball facilities, and a soccer field. Instruction is in English, and Morrison follows an American-based curriculum accredited by ACSI and WASC, with Advanced Placement (AP) courses available. The school is co-educational and does not offer boarding at the Taipei campus (boarding is provided at Morrison Taichung). A MAT bus service is available with multiple pickup options.
