Taipei American School (TAS) is a private international day school in Taipei's Tianmu area offering an American-based education for KA through Grade 12. The language of instruction is English, with Mandarin taught as an additional language from Kindergarten onward. TAS is hosted on a 15-acre campus in Tianmu, a northern suburb of Taipei, featuring a dedicated Arts Center, science and technology labs, multiple gymnasia, and extensive athletic facilities. The school provides AP and IB pathways within an American framework and serves a diverse expatriate community of around 2,400 students annually. TAS maintains bus service for many Taipei-area residents and emphasizes a co-educational environment without on-campus boarding.
